Accord and satisfaction: An agreement to substitute for an existing debts some alternative form of discharging that debt, coupled with actual discharge of the debt by substitute performance. The new agreement is called an accord and the discharge is called satisfaction.

Account: The principle filed an action for account against his agent.

Account Stated: A balance that parties to a transaction or settlement agree on, either expressly or by implication. A defendants plea in response to an action for an accounting.
